Empties Beauty Products #03

Its been a while since I did an empties. Here is another empties blog where I will talk about reviewing used products. I’ll talk about what I liked and what not and if I will repurchase or not.

I simply review these products because I love some of these beauty products and I see it working or because I found these beauty products are ineffective and waste of money.

This is my honest opinion about these beauty products.

I make sure not to accumulate so much empties to do a review. I’ll go through everything and give a little review and wither I’ll repurchase it or not. Also, tell you which is my favorite.

I have a mix of make up, skincare, and perfumes to review.

  1. Bio oil

It contains mineral oil, sunflower seeds oil, vitamin E oil.

It contains essential oils ( lavender oil, rosemary oil, calendula, and soybean oil ).

I used it for my stretch marks. I didn’t notice any improvement.

I don’t recommend it.

2. Glow tonic by PIXI

It is an exfoliating toner containing 5% glycolic acid (an alpha-hydroxy acid) which helps in the removal of dead skin cells as well as aloe Vera to soothe the skin.

It is alcohol free, paraben free and cruelty free.

It evens out skin tone and smooths out skin. I feel it works.

But it contains fragrance which might irritate the skin.

I use it during my night skin care regimen.

It also contains witch hazel which is an astringent. And it contains horse chestnut which helps with anti- inflammatory.

3. The Body Shop Vitamin E eye cream

I love this eye cream, I used it every morning, definitely I would repurchase.

It is a moisturizing eye cream contains vitamin E, moisturizing wheat germ oil and plumping hyaluronic acid.

It is vegan, paraben-free, gluten free and silicone free.

I noticed my eyes puffiness are reduced but as every cream I used, it did the same thing for my puffiness.

4. Kiehl’s ginger leaf & hibiscus firming mask

It is an overnight mask with a velvety thick texture.

It claims that it firms the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines over time.

Honestly, I did not notice any of these claims on my skin. I even noticed that it peels on my skin.

It’s key ingredients are hibiscus seed extract and ginger leaf.

5. Neutrogena hydro boost whipped body balm

It contains hyaluronic acid which is very good for your skin in terms of extreme hydration.

It doesn’t leave any residues because it is an absorbing whipped cream.

Also, it is ultra light and contains fragrance.

It contains petrolatum and dimethicone which makes the skin softer and smoother.

The price is affordable.

6. L’ORÉAL PARIS white perfect day cream. SPF 17 PA++

It is melanin vanish and tourmaline. A brightening cream with UV protection.

It claims prevention of melanin production.

The key ingredients are glycerin and citric acid.

I used it in my body. I noticed some fairness on my body.

I don’t think I will repurchase because I would like to use other whitening creams for my body that intentionally is for the body and see what works best.

7. Sunday Riley Tidal brightening enzyme water cream

The key ingredients are: hyaluronic acid, alpha arbutin, tamarind seed extract, papain, horse chestnut seed extract.

It contains brightening enzymes for your skin like alpha arbutin and tamarind seed extract.

It is water based moisturizer which is suitable for my oily skin. But it is suitable for all skin types.

It is lightweight, oil free gel cream that your skin will love it. And it won’t clog pores.

I apply it in the morning only under my sunscreen. But it can be used in the morning and night.

8. The Body Shop ALOE instant soothing rescue gel

It soothes the skin. Ideal for skin that have gone under procedures like microdermabrasion or micro needling … etc. It is formulated for sensitive skin and there are no added alcohol, color or fragrance. Aloe Vera is known for calming the skin. This particular gel is from Campeche, Mexico.

9. Filorga sleep and peel resurfacing night cream

It moisturizes and peels at the same time while you are asleep.

In my first uses it tingled slightly but after a few seconds it vanished.

I have noticed results after using it for a while. My complexion is brighter for sure as it contains very effective skin ingredients which are:

AHA AND BHAs

Sodium hydroxide

Vitamin C

Vitamin A

Amino acids

Sodium hyaluronate

Aloe for soothing

It fades dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

It has a nice fragrance to it that I enjoyed as my night skin routine.

10. OLEHENRIKSEN FIND YOUR BALANCE Oil control cleanser

A cleanser for oily skin that doesn’t strip out your skin. I use it morning and night in my skincare routine. It gives you a clean sensation and feels refreshed. My skin feels less oily with continuous application.

It contains green fusion complex which are green tea, eucalyptus, kelp and Irish moss. Also, it contains AHAs and neem seed oil.

I noticed my skin was less oily but it did not minimize my pores as it claims to do.

I recommend it but don’t strongly recommend it because you still can find an alternative product for your oily skin that minimizes pores and stop your skin from producing access oils.
